Oh hey, I’m Aaron.
Nice of you to stop in!

Delivering you 10 fun nuggets about me, that you didn’t have to dig up:

  • I am allergic to an impressive amount of food that makes desserts impossible (cinnamon, nutmeg, and nuts).

  • I love playing party games with my friends.

  • I bought an electric bicycle because I was concerned that the hills of Colorado would be my undoing.

  • I am a game master for D&D.

  • Dancing by myself in my home is a quick way for me to feel better.

  • I unashamedly cry at movies.

  • I love Star Wars and cried the first time I saw the Millennium Falcon in Disneyland

  • I love playing pickleball.

  • I make my own simple syrups from fruits and spices to flavor sparkling water.

  • I competed in multiple obstacle course races.

“I tend to follow the clients as they explore their own mental health. I’m more of a guide and advisor than an expert.”
Aaron Henes, LPCC

So technically this is supposed to be about me
BUT I want to talk about you first

I already know that you’re here because something is pulling you to dig in. Something is wanting you to just see what this is all about.

Because you want relief and you’re ready to do the hard work. You’re ready to dig in and do more than talk therapy

That’s the type of healing that you’re after. The type of healing that gets to the core and not just a band-aid to only get 20% relief.

The approach I use gets to that other 80% relief. Yes, we will get into skills, tools, and methods to give your life a makeover. AND with Internal Familly Systems Therapy (IFS) we are going to get to the core of what parts of you are in pain, stuck, not functioning in a way that serves you, and do some serious healing with these parts.

And with IFS, this is where the “magic” happens. No, seriously. It really does.

I know you got this.

I know you can do the work. It’s already in you and I’m just that guy, that human, that therapist, walking right next to you as you get to where you want to be.

Ok, a little about me.

The warm welcoming vibe? Check. Space you can word vomit with literally no judgments? Check. Empathy, understanding, and a therapist that gets you? Check. A therapist that is more than capable of calling you on your shit when needed? Check and check.

My “vibe” if you will,  can be described as extroverted, accepting, welcoming, humorous, and a bit crass.

The license, the training, the degrees:

  • Graduate: Master's of Divinity, Denver Seminary

  • Graduate: Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health, Walden University

Not sure about this Aaron guy you just read about? Me either.
Let’s chat :)
